Gurren Lagann Homage FX: Drill Spawn

My drill is the drill that pierces the heavens!
This effect is a homage to my most favourite anime of all time and long time motivator; Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann! It contains animation elements from the show and other works by their company Studio Trigger/ Gainax. Arc System work's 3D anime fighting games also had a hand in inspiring this effect. It took a really long time to get this project to a level of quality that I wanted, goes to show that I should probably plan out my effects more thoroughly before making them. But much like the Team Dai Gurren, I will strive to improve with every step! There are also effects of the drill revving up for an attack and growing in size which I will return to working on at some point. Don't forget to grit those teeth!
